Personal Background
A product of the finest traditions in higher education, Dr. Paula Gould received her BA degree from The University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia ,PA., and her DDS Doctorate degree from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, IL. An intensive surgical residency program in advanced dental techniques was completed at the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, W VA.
Dr. Gould was a pioneer in the placement of porcelain veneers in the very first years they were invented. She has witnessed and embraced the invention of newer, stronger porcelains, making veneers more beautiful than ever before. Surgery is something Dr.Gould is passionate about, mastering the art of implant dentistry from the many continuing education and hands on courses she has taken, performing both the surgical placement and cosmetic restoration of the implants.
Afflitiations
Dr. Gould has been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) for 25 years, attending their national conventions and continuing education courses. She has restored the smiles of local domestic abuse victims through the AACD Give Back a Smile Program, and through her own volunteerism with Shelter Our Sisters (now called Center for Hope and Safety) in Bergen County. She readily embraced becoming a provider of both Botox and Juvederm fillers. As a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) , she frequently updates her education in the area of dental /facial enhancement techniques.

A very meaningful part of Dr.Gould’s dental career were the two month-long stays in Israel, arranged through her Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. As a dentist volunteer, she performed community dentistry and lived in two very different, underserved and impoverished areas of Israel. She hopes to return for a third time to bring new modern dental techniques and to see how much things have changed.
A frequent contributor to RealSelf.com, an online cosmetic medical/ dental forum, Dr.Gould writes about all aspects of cosmetic dentistry. She also writes articles and educates the public about her treatment of The Dental – Migraine Connection.
Hobbies
Among Dr. Gould’s many hobbies are photography (exhibited and sold in galleries), pique assiette mosaic work (a form of broken pottery mosaics), interior design, skiing, tennis, running, working out, and yoga…her fixation. She hopes to do her first Spartan this year.
